Surprise, surprise! Less than two weeks after the official announcement of Amazon’s first tablet – Kindle fire, its now the number one best selling device of the mogul online shop for 13 days since its pre-order availability toppling those usual favorites like the Kindle (third-gen). For the second spot, the 6-inch Kindle e-reader seems to be comfortably hanging on with its ridiculously cheap price of 79 bucks. Interestingly, if you’ll check the site’s “most wished for in electronics” category, the situation is also the same whereas the new Kindle Touch gets the second spot for a price of $99.
Last week, a source from the blogosphere states Kindle Fire was purchased 250,000 times on the first five days of its pre-ordering period. If that’s correct, this is the only tablet that achieved such numbers next to the phenomenal sales of iPad 1 last year reaching 300k + units sold on its first day in United States.
By far, we expect the fire tablet’s surge to normalize a little bit. But when we hit its official shipping date on November 15, there’s a big chance its sales may skyrocket again considering its only less than two weeks before the mega Black Friday sales and as we all know, Amazon always have its gimmicks on perking the interest of its customers via its insanely cheap deals and bonuses.
Just think what if, Amazon tries to sell the 199-dollar worth of Kindle Fire to an even lower price? For all we know, the company did it with Kindle WiFi / 3G last holidays, so there’s a big chance Santa Claus is really coming to Amazon this year as well!
