Here’s one way of making funny videos – the easy way. Officemax introduced ElfYourself back in 2006 to enable internet users make an “elf-like” dancing videos with their friends, relatives and even their pets. These videos can be shared on popular social media sites and twitter accounts or can be sent in the form of ecard.
It works by uploading photos via your desktop PC or Facebook account. There’s a ready made “elf” figure without the head image, adjustments are necessary to custom-fit your uploaded photos.
You can add other images, right now they allow up to 5, and adjust each to your liking or you could go immediately and choose the “elf” theme song for your video. There are a 5 genres to choose from namely, singing , country, disco, hiphop and classic.
Your video will be automatically loaded with the style you’ve chosen. You can either change the dance theme, Email/share or download the video. The cool thing about it is you can embed the elfyourself video on several social media sites (facebook, Myspace, twitter), blogs (wordpress,blogger) or post it on your website.
It costs 4.99 USD if you like to download the elfyourself video. The video format is MPEG-1, Resolution: 425px by 319 px, audio: 128kbps/16bit encoding. The video will be delivered via email.
Real Elfyourself dance
Last November 3, 2009, Officemax thought of making the elfyourself dancing video for real! It contacted hundreds of individuals to suit up on elf costumes and perform at Union Square New York City. Of course, bystanders were surprised to see that, but after a few seconds of elf dancing, people began taking pictures and videos of the “elves”. FYI, No one participated.

Philippines’ Pacmania
In commemoration of Manny Pacquiao’s victory over Miguel Cotto, we created an elf dance featuring the Pacman himself with his past opponents – Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Oscar Dela Hoya and Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao had defeated all them inside the ring (most recent was Cotto). We’re a little bias when showing these pictures. Let’s have fun alright, enjoy!
