There are various reports coming out that indicate a number of smartphones as well as tablets are already running on Android 4.2 or what is supposed to be known as Key Lime Pie. It may be conclusive considering that there are devices appearing in server logs as well as benchmarks all over the web.
This was observed by Android Authority wherein they noticed that their website was having visits from devices running on Android 4.2 as claimed by Google Analytics. The trend seemed to start way back in August and this means that testing has been going on in the past months. However, this was not only the catch as the data gathered points or hints out devices which may soon enjoy the offerings of Key Lime Pie. Said devices include the Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Sony Xperia Arc S and Samsung Galaxy Y. Other names that popped up in the list also include Occam and Manta which are believed to be Motorola’s smartphone and tablet respectively.
After the infamous Jelly Bean, Key Lime Pie seems to be the logical name for Google’s upcoming OS update. As you may know, whenever Google names its OS updates, they do follow an alphabetical sequence on the name and so it really does make sense.
