Google seems to be taking the alphabetical path when it introduced its latest mobile operating system, the Android Jelly Bean which will follow Ice Cream Sandwich.

It’s only a tip really but the point is Jelly Bean is expected to offer more features than its predecessor which is destined to unite the Androids within smartphones and tablets. While the release of Ice Cream Sandwich is upcoming yet coupled with a possible release of Samsung-made Google smartphone, the new OS is expected to offer the “game-changing stuff” and nothing more, for the moment. The Ice Cream Sandwich is absorbing the features of both Gingerbread and Honeycomb into a single system.
Google has the habit of naming its OS after sweet treats and in alphabetical order on release – Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and this time, Jelly Bean. The announcement about Android Jelly Bean should follow the anticipated release of Nexus Prime, the Samsung-made Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone. What to expect are: changes in design, functional changes and a major architectural overhaul of the Ice Cream Sandwich version.
Online reviews couldn’t provide the version number of Jelly Bean and Google remains mum about Ice Cream Sandwich version number either. Against all odds, the latest Google OS is expected to undergo a big-time release. Stay tuned.
