Openness is one of the major characteristics of Android that has made it popular and loved by many. And this is also the same reason why it has been vulnerable to several malware attacks. Just recently Google has just pulled out around 21 popular free apps from the Android Market. Apparently, Google had pulled out the said apps because these apps were discovered to be some sort of malwares that targets getting root access to the user’s device thus, gathering a wide range of available data and downloading several codes without the knowledge of the users.

However, it was also found out that even Google has already removed the apps in question, it has already been downloaded by at least 50,000 Android users already. Basically, the apps are particularly dangerous because they exactly look like a knockoff version of the already popular apps in the market. So there is a possibility that a user will be able to download an app and be presented with a different sort of app in the end.
In other words, the apps that were removed by Google are pirated versions of popular apps and once they are downloaded, the apps will be able to root the user’s device using a certain method, then use an Android executable file to steal user and device data such as your user ID and mobile provider. And this will then act like an open backdoor for your device to download malicious code without the user’s knowledge.
Here is a list of the bad apps that were removed by Google. All of these applications were made by an entity called “Myournet“.
- Falling Down
- Super Guitar Solo
- Super History Eraser
- Photo Editor
- Super Ringtone Maker
- Super Sex Positions

If you have downloaded any of these applications, it would be advisable to take your mobile phone to your carrier and swap it with a new one. So always take extra precautions before you download any apps from the Android Market. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
