We cannot deny the fact that Apple’s iPad has totally controlled the tablet market ever since the day it was released. And even if a lot of gadget manufacturers in the industry have managed to come up with their own tablet version, the iPad has managed to retain its position in the industry. This is quite evident by its sales achievement that has reached a total sale of 14.8 million units. And because of the success of this very popular tablet device, it is not surprising at all that the next generation of the iPad is being plan for release. This tablet will be known as the iPad 2 and is expected to be available in the coming months.
And just like any Apple products, Honn Hai Precision Industry Co. or otherwise known as Foxconn will be responsible for the assembly of this upcoming iPad 2. Well, evidently, even if the Apple iPad has managed to maintain its status in the industry, Apple must feel some pressure as well as competition with the arrival of various tablets from various companies such as Samsung, Motorola, and Research in Motion that are all working on tablet PCs that will essentially come up with some new features that are not available in the current iPad version thus, pushing them to come up with the iPad 2.
So what does the iPad 2 can offer to its potential consumers? Well, according to some rumors, this new tablet will be powered by a faster processor and a better GPU as well as more memory capacity in a more sleek design tablet. In addition to this, the new iPad is also believed to come up with a front-facing camera that will enable the use the Facetime videoconferencing application.
However, one feature that is present in the upcoming iPad that might disappoint consumers is actually the lack of significant improvement as far as the resolution of this device’s display. Apparently, the next iPad will retain its current resolution and the higher display resolution that was rumored earlier looks to be pertaining to a future model.
Apparently, the new iPad will be available via two of the biggest and most reliable network carriers in the US – Verizon Wireless and AT&T and if the product timeline for this upcoming product is accurate, then there is a possibility that we’ll be having this tablet very soon.
