It appears we have two graphic-related problems for the iDevice today. As we reported a couple of hours ago, some iPod Touches are being plagued by this “snowy-graphic” image when you locked your device and received a notification update. And as of the moment, it appears the bad mantra is being transferred towards the Apple TV, as a lot of customers are reporting that they are receiving this strange “flickering” on their screens while viewing any particular channel or movie.
The report originated from apple forums and the glitch is characterized by “losing the clarity of the image for 10-30 seconds” even using variety of TV sets.
This issue has been first reported when some users updated their Apple TV 2 to 4.2, in which the problem could also happen when you try to connect with HDMI videos or HDMI to DVI video adapter. Again, this “flickering” issue did not happen before to these users when they are using the previous Apple TV Update.
Anyway, the good news is, Apple is much aware of the problem and the company is already prepping up for A software fix / patch to solve this issue. Expect its release date or download to arrive “soon”.
