Aside from the bold revelation of the G9 tablets by Archos today, the company also addressed the arrival of its new smart home phone device along with a radio that can connect to the internet.
So the first one would be the Archos 35 Smart Home Phone. On a nutshell, it’s a DECT handset that performs as your Android landline phone which can do wonders once you hear its MP3 playing capability, WiFi browsing, Android apps and it even comes with a front-facing camera so you can do video calling with Tom the Dopey all night long.
Meanwhile, consider the Archos Home Connect as the “most-advanced Android based web radio” claimed by the company, which lets you access up to 50,000 web radio stations that comes preinstalled with its TuneIn application. It even has these other applications like “alarm clock” that also acts as a weather news tool, that will bring up to date weather reports including traffic news on your radio. No word about its sound quality but as the company touts “it would be amazing”.
I’m not sure if you really want to fill your humble abode with Archos gadgets but in case you’re interested to bag these two devices, the Android home-phone would cost you $159 while the Android web radio is tagged at $149, both hitting its release date on September.
