Archos is a popular company recognized for its PMP and tablet gadgets. However, we’re quite surprised to learn that Archos had revealed a new member in its gadgetry – the Archos Arnova web radio and TV.

We’re not sure who or what inspired Archos to use that name for this one of a kind device but it’s catchy nonetheless. Primarily, the Arnova is a fancy clock radio you can use for your morning wake-up calls. But don’t fret because this gadget can do more than that. With the Arnova, you can have access to more than 12,000 streaming radio stations and 1,500 “web TV” Channels as well.
Additionally, you can also listen to your MP3/WMA music directly from your SD card or to the music files stored in your PC over WiFi via uPNP. Multimedia files like photos and videos can also be viewed using the Archos Arnova.

However, we’re not exactly ecstatic with its 3.5-inch touch screen display because it may not too spacious for image or web TV viewing. Well, some folks can bear watching videos on their smartphones, so what the heck. As of this moment, however, we can’t attest about the quality of its display.
That’s all we can say for the new Archos Arnova. We haven’t received any details about its release date in the U.S. (and other countries) as well as how much. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you informed.
