So apparently, Asus has finally unveiled its Asus-900 e-reader which we have seen dangling just one month after CES of 2010 packing with an efficient core specifications just like its twin-brother Asus DR-950 and DR-570, but like any products of Asus, this one has an added twist.

So the Asus DR-900 sports a 9 inch form-factor built on a sleek and thin form-factor (just the way you like it) and it packs a lot of pre-installed PDF files on its 1024 x 768 resolution which looks vibrant even we are just talking about Eink pictures. So far, the UI in both the physical and software side are very promising and quite responsive at the same time. The DR-900 also comes with a bookstore, news, documents, applications, setup and an easy shortcut icon for a quick jump from app to app.

The only caveat for this alluring e-reader is that it will set you back for 300 euros (equivalent to 426 USD) and it will be available on Q1 of 2011. Come to think of it, Amazon Kindle graphite (Kindle 3) is only tagged at 149 USD (WiFi), 199 USD (3G), and the other one which is getting the limelight is the recently launched Nook Color which cost only 249 USD. Somehow, it’s highly unlikely for a company like Asus to unveil such device with a price that’s somewhat not fitted for a budget e-reader. Anyway, its up to you now if you are still interested of getting this high-grade e-reading device or not.
