We aren’t exactly amazed with the new netbook revealed by Asus today which will be under its Eee series (as usual) and quite frankly, I was hoping it would come out as a high-end netbook just because of how this gadget was reported throughout the blogosphere last year touted to have some amazing specs like a fusion-core type of processor.

Anyway, as of today, the company has finally launched its Asus Eee 1015PW and this one will have a product name “Sirocco” once it hits the market. As for its specifications, it will be sticking to its usual Intel Atom Pineview N550 processor, which is a bit out of class today considering APU fusion-cores are the latest technology for netbooks we’ve seen at the CES event. Basically, the Sirocco is just like your normal netbook of last year featuring RAM up to 2GB DD3, 250GB/320GB HDD, 0.3 MP camera, WiFi / Bluetooth support. And this one will all be under a unit with 10.1” WSVGA LED Backlight display (1024 x 600) resolution and supports HD playback.
Aside from its mediocre specifications, waves of fuzzy design didn’t pass our taste even to some of our female staff here. And that’s the reason why this Gold Dust and it’s so called “Angel Skin” would hit hard on the market once its release date has been revealed this quarter for an estimated price of sub-450 USD. Question is, are you interested?
