Still at the Computex 2010, another model from the ASUS Company was revealed. The ASUS Eee PC 1015T is latest model from its netbooks series was seen sitting at the ASUS Computex booth packed with a display card of its features.
The new netbook sports the well known solid chiclet keyboard, large trackpad, single rocker bar button, soft touch matte lid and a matte palm rest.
Asus Eee PC 1015T is equipped with a 10.1 inch glossy display that has a 1,024 x 600 pixels resolution capacity, Advanced Micro Devices AMD V105 processor that may run at just 1.2 GHz, 1 / 2GB DDR3 RAM with 4GB maximum capacity, storage space of either 250GB /320 GB or even 500GB. Also, present in the said device is an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics and a NVIDIA hardware inside the hood making it an interesting netbook.
Included in its list of features are USB 3.0 ports, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi capable, pre-loaded Windows 7 Starter kit joined by Express Gate OS and a 6 cell battery that is good for 6 hours of use. On the other hand the Bluetooth 3.0 module is still optional for this device.
The display card also shows that the netbook will be made available in four different colors, black, white, red and blue. However no sample for those colors was seen yet. Also no release date, availability or pricing details were given as of this writing.
The new Eee PC 1015T is indeed quite interesting however it doesn’t promises any powerful or exciting features. And also based from other reports, the Taiwan-based company revealed that the Asus Eee PC 1015T is just an engineering release and not meant for public use! Some are speculating that the new netbook is just somewhat made in rush just to make it before the show and is just not ready for its manufacturing state. So we just better wait for further details from the company as to when the Eee PC 1015T will be available to the public. Lastly, since it is just an engineering release and not intended for selling, we should expect that the hardware, software and features included in the actual device for sale may not be the same as what it had during the event.
