AMD is more renowned for being able to perform well in gaming rigs without even breaking a sweat. Laptops and by rote, Netbooks, have never had an AMD processor grace their mobile gracefulness. Until recently. Here we have the ASUS Eee PC 1215T with AMD Neo.

Here’s a quick rundown of the specs:
- 1.7GHz AMD Athlon K125 processor
- ATI HD 4250 graphics
- 12.1-inch WXGA (1366×768) LED screen
- 2GB DDR3 RAM
- 320GB hard drive
- HDMI & VGA out
- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
- 0.3MP Webcam
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- Dimensions: 11.6 x 8 x 1.5 inches
- Weight: 3.2 pounds

Although AMD has been promising to develop platforms that can eke out better battery performance, the past AMD Neo laptops that have already been tested and reviewed is still giving a paltry 3 to 4 hours on a single charge. Seems to most users, a laptop of this size should be able to juice out more, and they are right.
With this entry to the laptop market, it looks like ASUS is experimenting with Intel/Ion 2 combos alongside the AMD Neo. The ASUS Eee PC 1215T with AMD Neo is now available in cool Black, Silver or Red color for $436 on Amazon.
