ASUS has been one of the leading manufacturers when it comes to notebooks, netbooks, motherboards, graphic cards, displays and PCs. And just recently ASUS is also trying to make an attempt to penetrate the tablet market where the Apple’s iPad reigns supreme for quite some time now. This tablet is known as the Asus Eee Slate EP121. This is actually not the first time that we have heard about this tablet since it was first announced back in May at the Computex. However, we haven’t heard anything about it not until now where it was officially unveiled already.
Unlike the ASUS trio of Android tablets, this new tablet is more focus on the Windows 7 operating system. Apparently, the Asus Eee Slate EP121 is a very powerful 12-inch tablet that is both cool looking at stylish at the same time. In addition to this, the said tablet is also expected to come up with the following specs as well:
- powered by an Intel Core i5 -470M processor
- comes with 2 to 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and an option between 32 GB or 64GB SSD storage capacity
- sports a 12.1-inch IPS capacitive display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and a Wacom Digitizer that will allow its user to draw self portraits or even take notes on class
- equipped with a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash
- comes with a stereo speaker and on-screen keyboard
- supports for an external Bluetooth keyboard for traditional desktop use
- comes with Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11n connectivity
- comes with a mini-HDMI port, two 2.0 USB ports and a flash card reader

Simply looking at these specs won’t really surprise us why it was hailed to as one of the most powerful tablets that will be released in the market. This is such a highly portable handheld device that is perfect for those users who are looking for a tablet that could suit both productivity applications, multitasking as well as multimedia entertainment as well.
ASUS is already taking pre-orders for the ASUS Eee Slate EP 121. This Windows 7 tablet will be available at Amazon.com with an expected price ranging from $ 999 to $ 1,099. So watch out for it.
