Previously, we reported that Asus is prepping up to reveal its new set of budgeted laptops starting with the U31SD and U36SD in core i3 / i5 flavors. As of today, we give you news that the company is planning to release its next “Bamboo Collection” of laptops in the form of U43SD and U41SV variants.
Check out their specifications.

As for the Asus U43SD, you’ll have the option to pick its Core i5 2410M or Core i3 2310M CPU, packing with NVIDIA GeForce GT520M w/ 1GB VRAM and 8GB DDR3 RAM. It will be presented on a 14-incher display w/ LED Backlight (1366 x 768 resolution), 2MP web camera, and up to 750GB SATA HDD capacity on its 2.5-inch platter. Meanwhile, it comes preloaded with Windows 7 OS, 5-in-1 card-reader, HDMI and you’ll have the option to pick its 6-cell 4400 mAH battery or 8-cell 5600 mAh unit.

For the Asus U41SV notebook, this device sports the same Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 and i5 CPU, although this one packs a GeForce GT540M GPU w/ 1GB virtual memory, built-in Altec Lansing speakers and microphones, 0.3 MP and the same battery power. Interestingly, some pundits say this version has a more “plainer” look than the U43SD – we’ll leave that to your preferences.
Currently, these two don’t have any official prices or release date just yet, although expect their cost to come as “above average” since they are the latest “bamboo collection” of the company.
