We do know that Motorola Xoom is having a hard time coping up in the tablet market where iPad is the King, and lots of Android tablets are proving a real competition against the black-slate. In our previous report, we mentioned that one of the main reasons why Xoom sucks in terms of marketing is because, Moto didn’t reveal this tablet properly on all carriers in USA, and didn’t even introduce it outside the usual USA / European markets –- unlike Apple and Samsung who seem to have already perfected that feat.

As of today, a leak from FCC suggest that we’ll soon see an AT&T Motorola Xoom model, instead of its usual Sprint / Verizon flavor.
Check out the screenshot.
So it’s described as a “wireless tablet w/ embedded WLAN” and it supports GSM 850 / 1900 bands, EDGE 850 / 1900 and WCDMA frequencies as well, along with 802.11 a, b , g & n standards.
So what do these jargons represent? Well, that “GSM” you’re seeing there is a proof this device is landing on AT&T, considering there are only two GSM carriers in USA (AT&T and T-Mobile) – in which we all know the latter is already in the process of being acquired by AT&T.
Of course, this is a lucrative move for Motorola of expanding its tablet’s reach to other carrier subscribers. But unless they reveal Xoom on the Asian market, I believe the odds for them to compete at par with Samsung are still gargantuan.
