Last week, we began stuffing our readers with some worthy deals for the upcoming Black Friday event on November 25. And while the deals aren’t the ones tech-savvy users are looking for, we manage to stumble upon some of the imminent discounts going to be given by Target and Walmart for its “after-thanksgiving doorbusters”.
For today, our eyes will be focused on Best Buy and find out the reason why this place is a haven for gadget enthusiasts. For those who are unaware, there are only few consumer-electronic stores in United States offering a huge list of gadgets such as mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, laptops, video-game consoles and other handheld gadgets. One is Best Buy and others would be Radio Shack, Target or perhaps, Walmart if you want to grab the best deals for LCD TVs or big electronic appliances.
Last year, as early as November 4, the yellow shop already dropped its first pre-Black Friday deals. These type of sales are just a teaser compared to the real Black Friday deals happening on Thanksgiving’s weekend. But in the case of Best Buy, the products they’re offering are already decent. Like slashing PSP GO from $199 to $149.99 and offering some entry level phones like Droid Incredible from $199 to $99 after paying a contract on Verizon.
But of course, there’s nothing more sweeter than buying a one-dollar worth of smartphone (e.g: Samsung Galaxy S series) after paying a contract on its carrier or bagging a 50-inch Panasonic Viera Plasma HDTV for only 699.99. Naturally, these are the type of deals that made Best Buy one of the hottest stores in US during the whole BF week.
For this year, we’re certain the mogul electronic shop will start its pre-Black Friday sales again on the first Friday of November and it’ll continue just a few days before Thanksgiving. And we can already see a fine line of deals ranging from the latest smartphones today from Blackberry 9000 series, Samsung Galaxy Tablets and perhaps, a dash of e-reader discounts from Nook or Kobo. However, the thing we’re really hoping for is to see the shop include deals for top of the line Android phones like Galaxy S II, Motorola Atrix, HTC Sensation, etc. Although we won’t be surprised if Best Buy would be too shy to include Apple’s iDevices on its shelves. As usual, the best deal we can only bag for these precious iDevices is its same undiscounted price similar with Apple stores’ offering with hopes of Best Buy throwing away some $50-$100 worth of gift-cards.
