We cannot deny the fact that the Xbox 360 console is one of the most popular consoles that we have nowadays. And this console has become more popular because of its online multiplayer gaming and digital delivery service called Xbox Live. At present, this is currently the only gaming service available on consoles that charges its users for a fee to play multiplayer gaming. This service was first made available to the Xbox system back in 2002 and has already come up with several updates since it was launched. And just recently, Microsoft has just announced that they will be introducing several features to the Xbox Live.
Xbox Live aims to provide all Xbox Live members out there with a new level of entertainment that they could truly enjoy. And in order to realize that vision Xbox Live will be coming with UFC and You Tube. This could be a great step towards adding to an ever-expanding library of entertainment features that include ESPN, Facebook, Hulu Plus, Last.fm, Netflix and Twitter. Aside from these features, the company has been also reported to building new partnerships that will eventually bring live television to Xbox Live in the US and all over the world. This will definitely add to the current partnership it has with Sky TV in the UK, Canal Plus in France and FOXTEL in Australia.
However, the most notable features that will be added with the Xbox Live include the intelligence of Bing, Beacons and Summer of Arcade. Bing on Xbox provides you the easiest way to find the kind of entertainment that you want. Beacons, on the other hand allows Xbox Live members out there to easily connect with friends over your favorite games on Xbox Live. Beacons can be utilized to inform your facebook pals and buddies that you want to play a game on Xbox Live.
And lastly, another feature that will be introduced in Xbox Live is the so-called Summer of Arcade. The Summer of Arcade will essentially bring Xbox Live members out there the hottest Xbox Live arcade titles. So starting on July 20, Xbox Live will members can enjoy the most anticipated downloadable games that we have as of present.
The features mentioned may be somewhat similar to the service offered by PlayStation Plus, but Joystiq notes that the exact details are quite different. So let us just wait for these new features and see for ourselves how it could satisfy our entertainment needs.
