A first person video game brings the players into a new world using the character/s of the game. This kind of game can only be as appealing and as enjoyable depending on how realistic the game is programmed to test the skill of the players.

Irrrational Games, which created the game Bioshock infinite, brings players into the world of Columbia, a lost city floating in the sky. The character is Booker, whose mission is to save Elizabeth from the ruined city. The Bioshock Infinite progressed as Booker goes around the city and fighting creatures using weapons and powers found along the gameplay.
A survey from fans brought this new game mode called the “1999 mode”. 1999 mode is created for hardcore Bioshock Infinite players who want a harder game mode to test their skills. This mode removes any kind of gameplay help like longer health bars, unlimited resources, extra lives and game restarts, to help players finish the game. Instead, irrational created the mode so hard that players are expected to die and die again most of time. Thank goodness for game saves, which were not removed.

The best thing about the 1999 mode is the game feature for allowing players to make decisions early on the game, which have consequences until the end. This feature is exciting since an early in game decision might affect how the player will progress and will determine his chances for finishing the game. Further, and this is the best part, player decisions are irreversible, which means there is no turning back.
Bioshock Infinite is such a superior game. Let’s see if you can still see it in the same manner after playing the 1999 Mode. Just remember to keep your cool, play smart and be patient when choosing this game mode.
