An upcoming first-person shooter video game is about to conquer the gaming world with the launch of the BioShock Infinite which apparently is the third game in the BioShock series. The announcement was made in New York’s Plaza Hotel a couple of days ago. This game was developed by Irrational Games and seems to be the next big thing that will be enjoyed by many gaming enthusiasts out there.

This game was previously known to be “Project Icarus” and is being developed by Irrational Games for a 2012 release. It is basically designed for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3 and Xbox360 platforms as well. The BioShock Infinite differs from the first two series since it will take place at a different time and setting.

Bioshock Infinite is set in 1912 and will take place in the city of Columbia which is a city suspended in the air by giant blimps and balloons. The story will revolve around Booker Dewitt, a disgraced former private detective whose goal is to find Elizabeth, a girl who was reportedly missing and trapped in the floating city, Columbia. The ultimate goal for this game is to rescue Elizabeth and returned her unharmed. The escape will not be that easy because of some forces that will make it difficult for them to escape from the said city.

Basically, this game is a first-person shooter game that comes with role-playing game elements which is quite similar to its two previous games. This game actually promises a game which is very much action-packed. Surely, those gamers out there who are very fond of action-packed games will surely enjoy this game which is very intimate in action and puts its player in a real character as well.

BioShock Infinite seems to manage both novel as well as those who are true to certain core system and gameplay values as well. Irrational has been working on the Infinite immediately after the completion of the original BioShock. This game is expected to complete in 16 months.

A more vibrant and bolder BioShock is definitely coming with more extraordinary actions as well as more complicated storytelling. As of now, all we need to do is just patiently wait until the Bioshock Infinite finally enters the gaming world.
