Black Ops 2 & Halo 4 Cyber Monday Deals 2012 (Guide)

Posted on 24 November 2012 by author

The Black Friday doorbuster event has officially ended across U.S but for dealhunters, that doesn’t mean the party should stop from there. As we all know, Cyber Monday is just around the corner (just 1 day 15 hours to go according to Amazon) and that means another set of discounts waiting to be unfolded.

So far, Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 are the most popular games you can purchase right now making it really challenging to get some decent discounts. Fortunately, we have several leads on how you’ll be able to get a good bargain for these two triple-A titles when Monday arrives.

Fry’s Electronics

The consumer electronic shop has silently added Halo 4 & Black Ops 2 to its list of discounted items. As you can see from the link, the tags are hidden. But for those who have already made their order, you can see the final price at $49.99 just before you checkout. This is a good deal since it’s almost impossible to see retailers offering these two games at that price.

What’s the catch? You need to order now to safe-keep the product and get it in-stores by Monday. Of course, you can ship it to your place but that would cost some additional extras.

Circuit City & Comp USA

Aside from TD, Circuit City and Comp USA are also offering Black Ops 2 (1,2) and Halo 4 (1,2) at $39.99 each after mail-in-rebate. Now, this may sound a little intimidating for some but it’s not really a big deal since the form you’re going to fill-up is online and once you submit it, expect to receive your $20 rebate 1-2 weeks which is kinda cool for those who can wait. However, make sure that you submit the MIR form on or before Cyber Monday or it will be forfeited.

Gift Cards Galore

This may not be your definition of ‘discount’ but if getting gift card is your thing, Target, Amazon even Dell are offering the two games until Cyber Monday with $20 G.C. Just remember these Gift Cards aren’t really convertible to cash and most of the time, you need to shop on that same retailer to obtain its freebie. A little caveat that might be an issue arrives at Dell since most of the items it’s selling online under $20 aren’t eye-candies compared to Target or Amazon. Your call.

Walmart Price Match

Now, this one is just tipped to us. Apparently, Walmart is price-matching all of the items included on its list that will last for the whole Cyber Week (until December 3). So this means when you bought Halo 4 or Black Ops 2 at $59.99 make sure you ask the kind lady at the cash register to price-match your items with the ad scans from Comp USA or Circuit City to get the game at $40. Take note this technique is covered with some rules which can be found here. Still, it’s worth a shot.

Our Take

For those who are late with the BF party, you can still get good deals for BO2 and Halo 4, just remember time is your friend and instead of waiting for Monday to arrive, you can already take the leap right now to safe-keep your items.

Check our Cyber Monday 2012 hub for all the latest deals.

Update 1: Both Toys R Us & Amazon are celebrating a pre-Cyber Monday event selling Black Ops 2 at $49.99.

Update 2: Fry’s Electronics is rumored to offer Halo 4 & BO2 at $49.99 with price-match policy to further increase your discounts.

Update 3: Dealhunters found an epic item from CompUSA Listing BO2 + Bullet Headphone Bundle at $39.98 — probably with $20 mail-in-rebate. But still, it’s a unique deal we haven’t seen during Black Friday. See page four upper right.
