Those who have taken their early nap time yesterday may have missed Activision’s Q2 Financial Call where the company not only reveal its fruitful quarter but also manage to announce the fourth map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops called as “Rezurrection”.
At first glance, you can say this is something that would be a hit for fans eventhough they have already shelled out $45 for the past three DLCs since Rezurrection is filled with four remade zombie maps plus a new map that will let you fight these scourge on the moon itself!

In our previous report, we revealed that Activision may lose players on the fourth map pack since Annihilation isn’t exactly what you can call its “best” map pack and its whole gameplay feels like a mixed version of First Strike and Escalation. However, with the upcoming DLC this month, we feel Treyarch has given in all they’ve got — and it looks splendid! I mean, its obvious zombie map is the most popular aside from the standard maps given on each DLC and just the mere thought of players having the chance to play five zombie levels on Rezurrection is already thrilling. But of course, saturation may loom in the air so Treyarch should better put their A-game on the table for this one.
Heading towards the meat of the map pack, we’ll be discussing what might be the new gameplay for Moon zombies. At first glance, you might say this is Treyarch’s way of testing the waters first if infusing a “Space Ops” adventure on Call of Duty would be a hit for the fans. For those who can’t recall, it was rumored several times before that Acti is planning to release a future COD mod that involves space marines shooting galactic enemies in outer space. With the new Moon Zombies map, you might say this will be the team’s stepping stone.
As for its gameplay, it’s obvious the new map will include perks and another achievements needed to be finished. Also, expect easter eggs needed to be completed which may or may not be as difficult as Annihilation’s Shangri-La. Hopefully, Treyarch will take advantage of the new space-age landscape and cook up with something ingenious to spice up the map’s overall gameplay experience. For all we know, this is probably the last map pack for Black Ops this year since most players will be focusing on Modern Warfare 3 on its release this November; therefore it’s a right for players to leave them something memorable…don’t you agree?
Again, August 23 my friends is the date for Black Ops: Rezurrection and it will be available first on Xbox 360 for a couple of weeks before heading to PC and PS3.
