In the world of smartphones, we can say that the BlackBerry is one the superstars. BlackBerry smartphones are optimized to deliver the best messaging and life maximizing experience a mobile user could ever have. Basically, BlackBerry smartphones give users an extensive array of high-end communication and multimedia features in a compact and highly refined design that will attract users for both professional and personal use.

And speaking of BlackBerry, a device called BlackBerry Storm 9570 also known as BlackBerry Storm 3 has shown up in some of the most popular gadget websites lately. Based on the leaked images, the BlackBerry Storm 9570 basically look identical to the current storm2 9520/9550. And like the Bold 9780, the BlackBerry Storm 9570 will also come with some internal upgrades to enable it to efficiently handle the BlackBerry 6 OS.
This upcoming BlackBerry 9570 will come with added RAM and an upgraded 5 megapixel camera as well. Some rumors also referred to the BlackBerry 9570 to be a smartphone that will include a mobile hotspot feature.
Aside from the aforementioned features, the BlackBerry 9570 will also include the following specs:
- Supports CDMA dual band and GSM quad band which is capable of global roaming
- Supports 3G network
- An upgraded 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash
- Supports Internet, Wi-Fi , USB and Bluetooth connectivity
- Other features include voice recording, speaker phone, A-GPS, IMAP/POP3/SMTP/Microsoft Exchange/Lotus Domino/Blackberry Connect

This upcoming BlackBerry smartphone will not be thinner than the Storm 2 and will be almost the same as the Storm 2 including its battery as well. Although some smartphone users who have tried the Storm 2 were a little disappointed with its battery performance, we still hope that the upgrades made on this upcoming phone will enhance its battery’s performance as well.
The BlackBerry 9570 smartphone seems to offer top-of-the-line performance, functionality and features. Basically, this upcoming device is also a smartphone that targets the tech-savvy people who want more from their devices aside from calling and texting. It will also use the SurePress, Piezo touchscreen technology. The BlackBerry 9570 release date and official price are still unknown yet. However, there were some rumors that the BlackBerry 9570 will be available starting this October.

So basically, the new Storm 3 will have “features” almost every other smartphone on the market today has. That’s a compelling reason to “upgrade” and stay with RIM and Blackberry. Don’t get me wrong, I own and love my Storm 2 but I have moved on to the Droid X. Even after using my Droid for a month, I still miss my Storm 2 but why should I stay and pay $200 more for an upgrade for basically a better browser and a new OS that “should” be capable to be run from my current hardware? Bad development practices, RIM, to leave users out in the cold and hype up something that is the same, spec-wise, as just about every other comparable smartphone on the market currently.
If for anything else, the Storm series of phones was all about risks, right? Why not make this series of phones live up to the hype RIM created around it in the first place. Let it be the first series of phone to introduce new technology and let it be the test bed for what goes into other phones that are meant for business-use only.
