If you are an avid Blackberry user, then here is some good news for you. Research in Motion has launched the Blackberry Music, a new BBM service for those Blackberry users especially those socially connected music fans out there.

The BBM Music service is basically an easy-to-use cloud-based service that allows users to build an evolving and community-based music library that can be shared with their BBM music friends. Apparently, the size of this music library will continue to grow as more of friends join the community. The good thing about this new music service is that users of this service can freely select music from a million songs from the best names in the music industry such as Universal Music Group, EMI, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment.

As of present, there are already more than 45 million customers that already love the social communications benefits brought through Blackberry Music, so for sure this number of customers will even grow with the launch of this new social and interactive music service. Basically, the Blackberry Music will be coming up with these key features:
- allows its users to discover and share music with their friends thus, creating a continually growing music library
- allows each BBM user to build their own personal music profile containing 50 of his or her favorite songs, of which 25 songs can be swapped and refreshed each month
- allows easy discovery of music that your BBM music friends are listening to and also allows its users to comment on their friend’s songs and playlists
- gives a chronological view of community updates including which songs were added or removed and which playlists were created
- allows offline listening so users can access songs even when they do not have any wireless coverage

This music service will be available to various customers all over the world later this year for only $ 4.99 a month. Well, if this will really succeed, then it will be the first music service that has really addressed mobile music discovery globally, so it only means that this music service is really worth your time.
