I don’t know what type of smartphones you have on your crib but in case it’s a RIM device then I have a feeling this news will perk your interest up!
Coming from the blogosphere, it appears someone had already managed to see the working version of Blackberry Dakota and Blackberry Montana in their purest form. In case you have remembered, we reported these two Blackberry Bold Touch devices last month in which Dakota was the codename for BB Magnum of last year.
If you still have any doubts, check out this exclusive picture unearthed from n4bb.
Interestingly, the site confirms about the leaked specifications for the RIM units packing with a 2.8-inch VGA 640 x 480 capacitive screen (touch-based display), will support the latest Blackberry OS 6.1; added goodies like magnetometer, accelerometer, NFC (mobile-payment technolog), proximity sensors and a 5MP camera (not disclosed if these two would have a front-facing as well). Meanwhile, the particular model being tested only has 6.5GB and will have a 512MB RAM. Expect the Blackberry Montana to run a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Processor in which Dakota’s CPU is still being undisclosed as of the moment.
As of the moment, this is the closest thing you can ever get for these two RIM devices. Expect their release date to arrive on Q3 of 2011 whereas their price are still concealed.
