It was a few months ago when we have first heard of the rumored Blackberry Monaco (a.k.a. “Touch”). We even had this leaked timeline which showed the most probable date for RIM to release the phone. Well, guess what? More news has been revealed about the rumored Blackberry Monaco.

In its recent post, tech blog BGR has revealed that the phone will definitely go with different names for the sake of its two versions. The blog also stated that the name for the GSM model will be called as Monza while the Verizon model will be named as Monaco.
On the other hand, it has also been told that the phone will be released as a Blackberry Touch and the two names that I have mentioned above will just serve as a distinction. But still, it will be a handset that will sport a thinner and lighter form.
Other specs and features of the phone are as follows:
- Blackberry OS 6.1
- 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Processor
- 3.7 inch capacitive display
- 480 x 800 pixels WVGA resolution
- 5MP camera with AF and LED Flash
- 720p HD video capture
- NFC support
- GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
The Blackberry Monaco (aka Touch) has been rumored to be revealed at the 2011 Blackberry World. The event will be held this May.
