As days go by, tech companies are continually seeking for solutions in integrating mobile and home-based electronics. BlueStacks recently introduced a fully functional Android platform running inside a conventional x86-based Windows PC. Sounds cool, right?

So far, we have seen developers integrating mobile gadgets (smartphones and tablets) to internet TVs but mobile OS to desktop? This is certainly the first! If BlueStacks will be successful in this project, for sure many developers would soon be creating apps for desktop or laptop computers.
Slashgear got a first hand experience of the Android-Windows system. It works by running a virtual Android OS inside an HP AIO PC. And the process doesn’t require the desktop to have a dual boot platform since Android can be run seamlessly inside Windows OS. One can even simultaneously run Windows app (like in the image above) along with Android platform. And switching from different apps (and platforms) is smooth.
Another cool thing about this setup is that the virtual Android utilizes Windows drivers and utilities. To give you an example, you can launch the Android Skype application and the system will use Windows drivers to handle the voice / video call.
Meanwhile, Microsoft may cringe from this idea since it is a direct competitor of Google Android (with its WP7). In another business standpoint, it is also possible that people would be more interested in buying Android applications instead Windows. But one thing is for sure, BlueStacks’ mobile-desktop solution certainly has a lot of potential.
The company didn’t mention about its price but they said that it will be available for download this year.
