BMW Mini Cooper owners better read on this.

Some models of the Mini Cooper are subject to a recall by BMW because of danger that these models might get caught on fire. The problem is suspected to come from a computer circuit board which is responsible for controlling the turbo charger cooling system of the car. BMW said that this circuit might fail and cause a malfunction and smolder the water pumps and eventually cause parts of the car to get on fire.
The recall of the Mini Cooper was preceded by similar recalls of BMW and Rolls Royce. The three car brands are owned and operated by the German car company BMW. There was no specific detail on the cause of the problem and it seems the recall is a precautionary measure. There are, in fact, reported cases around the world of incidents of Mini Coopers getting caught on fire. The recall is necessary to replace an auxiliary water pump on the affected Mini Cooper models.
There are 89,000 Mini Coopers that will be affected by this recall and will cover the following models: 2007 up to 2011 Mini Cooper S hatchbacks and convertibles, Mini Cooper Clubman S, Mini Cooper Countryman S and John Cooper Works versions. Mini Cooper models that are not affected by this recall are all non-turbocharged models.
