The announced release of the latest installment from the Call of Duty video game series, entitled Call of Duty: Black Ops, surely made an impact among fans and gamers. But here’s another news that should boost their interests further—“Zombie Mode” is confirmed to be included in the latest game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to be released next month, November 9. It will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Owners of the modified versions of Wii and Nintendo DS should not be disappointed because they could also have the game for themselves. Yes, the official launch date is nearly coming, but makers of the game seem to not fail to surprise their patrons.
Well for the record, this Zombie Mode thing is not at all a surprise, but more of a teaser. If you could remember it well, zombie maps were included in past advertisements and were presented as bonus for the purchase of the hardened or prestige version of the game. At least, it is now confirmed and gamers and fans would not have to wait until they get their hands on the game before they know the real deal, so let us not take it against Treyarch, the company responsible for Call of Duty: Black Ops.
For you to fully appreciate this new game, you should have at least experienced its predecessor, which is Call of Duty: World at War, also by Treyarch. In the last game, there is a team of four players confined in a certain location. The players have very few weapons while batches of zombies attack. Throughout the game course, you gain points which you can use to purchase more weapons to use. The weapons are located in different areas in the map.
Treyarch intends to retain the thrilling experience that World at War has given, but of course, Black Ops is a different thing and stands on its own. The Zombie Mode should be considered one of the promising features of this latest installment for the Call of Duty series.
Given the good reputation of all Call of Duty games, then we could safely expect some from Black Ops. Anyway, with or without Zombie Mode, fans of the game are surely rooting for this one.
