After the official confirmation of Call of Duty: Elite yesterday, many were a bit confused with its subscription plans; where Activision promised that more of its details will be available ‘soon’.
In our previous report, we gave you news that WSJ and other venerable sources suggest it may cost as low as 7.99 USD per year, and there will be free and subscription-based contents coinciding on the online portal.
As of today, an interesting news was unearthed from the gamingsphere stating that a Call of Duty Web Series is being planned by the company, and this should raise the subscribers for CoD Elite to over two million.
To be more specific, Acti’s Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed the details for this web-series; and while it’s not yet determined if it’ll be a live-action or an animated one (cartoons), Hirshberg believes this should entice more players to subscribe as an Elite members, in which the projection can soar up to 1.5 million subscribers by the end of this year.
Like we said, Call of Duty: Elite is more like a portal for all Call of Duty titles; and it will provide you more access in terms of connecting it with social-networks, your online buddies, and it will even have its own mobile application soon!
Expect Elite’s beta release date to hit this summer and its official one before the end of this year.
