With Far Cry’s CryEngine and Crysis’ CryEngine 2, it is believed that Crytek can practically do everything. Putting in the mix numerous partnerships with world renowned gaming institutions and GPU manufacturers, the company is yet to be filled with what is has accomplished so far. Thinking that they could do better to elevate the gaming scenario, Crytek has developed Gface, an upcoming social network platform powered by the company’s Seed Engine that enables users to share game sessions, videos and other personal media. With multimedia written all over it, Gface is coined to be a “high quality social media publishing service where everybody and everyone can play from casual 2D and 3D games to the more intense core games that handles 2D and 3D graphics as well.

Crytek’s Gface is a cross platform network that does not focus on laptops and PCs alone: on Crytek’s website, Gface is seen present on a laptop, a mobile phone and a tablet – proving that its versatility reaches over to the next generation of gaming platforms.

Half of Gface is a social network infused protocol wherein users can automatically drag and drop friends to ongoing games and stream high performance video games in either single player or multiplayer modes. It is built to be hardware independent and runs directly from your browser – play anytime, anywhere and with anyone with ease.

Considering Gface, the gaming industry will have limitless possibilities for multiplayer options topped with social media experience. It is of no wonder that someday, and hopefully soon, both Crytek and Gface will be on the higher echelons of the gaming world.

Gface is currently on closed testing and Crytek has yet to announce its release date. A beta version of the platform is available via Gface.com. Gface is said to carry Crytek’s free to play shooter, Warface.

A new Facebook option called Unfriend Finder, is now available to exactly perform just that, and more. However, while this new option is not a creation of Mark Zuckeberg, the same can be integrated with other Facebook functionalities.

Unfriend Finder is a downloadable script, which can work with any browsers. Those who are dying to use this new Facebook option can visit unfriendfinder.com. For Firefox browsers, for example, this script can be downloaded using Grease Monkey. Once the script is installed, unfriend finder will appear alongside “Home”, “Profile” and “Account” in the Facebook menu bar or as an option in the left-hand side filter.

Once integrated in the Facebook system, users can receive real time notifications when a friend removes him in the friend list. There can also be notifications for friends who deactivated their accounts, or people who have not yet accepted or ignored friend requests. The script can maintain a list of unfriends starting from the day the script is installed, but not before its installation.

Unfriend Finder may have its depressing side effects, especially when the number of the unfriend list is increasing. To anticipate this effect, the script allows the notification to be disabled.

Based on the document, it seems that FBI is trying to use these sites in order to monitor some users or group that may be involved in terrorism, online crime and other events that may help FBI accomplish its missions. In doing so, FBI wants a monitoring system that will be able to automatically search “publicly available” material from Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites such keywords related to terrorism and other crimes. The use of this term “publicly available” suggests that these networking sites may be able to exempt themselves from the said monitoring by simply making their post private.

However, FBI’s plans are not really a good idea for everyone and even seems to violate the individual’s privacy. According to Jennifer Lynch of the Electronic Frontier foundation, this monitoring system might not be something that people would accept easily because most of the members of these sites expect their post to be private and only shown to people close to them such as their families and friends. FBI decided not comment on this issue first.

As we all know, privacy is very important to every individual, and FBI’s plan to monitor social networking sites may cause a lot of people to feel uncomfortable because their privacy is being invaded. So what can you say about this FBI plan? Do you agree or not?

Is it possible to bring back the old interface back and disable Timeline? The answer is yes, this is possible. Usually, when you visit a website, your browser sends an identification code that is commonly referred to as “user agent.” This allows the site to know what type of browser you are using. This goes the same with Facebook. So when you visit the Facebook Timeline page with an IE7 browser, you will be shown the old Facebook page because Facebook has not created an IE7 version of Timeline that works with IE7.

If you want to disable Facebook Timeline and bring your old interface back, then simply follow the following steps:

• Go to the Facebook developer page and click Edit app
• Click the “delete app” in the left sidebar
• Once deletion has been confirmed, then your Facebook Timeline will now be disabled.

With various changes happening to Facebook, we cannot avoid the fact that there will be some people who will be happy with the changes and there will also be some that are not happy at all. The new Facebook Timeline might be a good and cool new feature, but can also make your profile page quite complicated that you would want to return to the old interface and just keep things simple. If you still remember, Anonymous had some online war with the government of the United States as well as with some people regarding SOPA or the “Stop Online Piracy Act.” Anonymous was even reported attacking the US Department of Justice‘s website after the US government had shutdown the file sharing website Megaupload just recently. So why is Facebook being rumored to be the next target of Anonymous? Well, the answer is pretty simple and that is because Facebook is one of the largest site in the world that have thousands of servers all around the world. For some obvious reasons, Anonymous like to start a cyber war through shutting down popular websites like this as a way of showing their protest.

However, Anonymous also acknowledges the difficulty of shutting down a website as big as Facebook, but they still claimed that it is possible with the help of the people. Another reason for Facebook to be included in the list of targets by Anonymous is the fact that it took a long time for Zuckerberg to voice his opinion about SOPA and PIPA. This is actually not the first time that we have heard of Facebook being targeted by Anonymous to be shut down because if you still remember there was also a rumor before that the said website will be shutdown last November 5, 2011, but no attacked has been made.

It is not your typical FPS shooter or RPG inspired game, but it’s as relaxing and educational at the same time. What Google made is a ‘Suitable for Everyone’ game that involves a cubed map, a ball and a whole lot of tilt and roll, hand-eye coordination and eventually, the familiarity of a certain location. It’s more like Hamsterball meets Pinball with a fresh Google twist: a blue ball (you) is guided through a representation of an actual map leading to certain checkpoints, rewards and all that little bits of user friendly items to advance to the next level.

Although other specific details are still being kept confidential by Google, it is safe to say that the game will be worth the time when we have nothing else to do but to have some relaxed time over Google+. According to Google, they were surprised with Twitter’s comment about them. Apparently, Twitter did not renew its contract with Google anymore last summer. Google’s agreement with Twitter paved the way for the search engine to gain access to public tweets. However, this contract has already ended in July and was never renewed again. After that, Twitter has been criticizing Google for its new social feature called “Search plus Your World.” Twitter has also made it harder for Google to include Tweets in its search results thus, making it hard for Google to search for its breaking news.

To give you an idea what the Google “Search plus Your World” is, then it is actually Google’s latest update where it has combined Google+ pages that has been made public by its users with its regular search engine. Google believes that this combination is a powerful one and will enable users out there to make search results even better. However, this is not what Twitter is saying about this integration. Facebook was also asked about this integration happening with Google, but they refused to comment.

Well, it seems that Twitter and Google are not really in good terms lately because of all these issues. Let us just hope that this issue will be resolved and everything will end peacefully between these two popular sites. We all know for a fact that both Google and Twitter have million of followers so it is better if they end this word war peacefully.
