According to insiders, this ‘special bundle item’ will also include Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset, an in-ear Bluetooth headset (specific brand not yet disclosed) and, Nokia Play 360 which is a portable Bluetooth speaker with NFC support which should come handy when you pair it with Nokia N9. Still, we’re scratching our heads discerning why the Espoo giant decided to partner Lumia 800 with all these media-centric gadgets. I mean c’mon, its not like all of us are audiophiles and interested to buy another product to beat our eardrums.

Meanwhile, other sources suggest that obtaining Lumia 800 on Valentine’s day means you should purchase this bundle on Microsoft’s retail stores since there’s no way you can get it outside from the packaged deal. Anyway, in case you don’t have the budget, finding alternative deals on E-bay and other online e-tailers might give you a worthwhile shot. Just be careful Mr. Casanova.

There are now rumors that Nokia will release another competitive phone called Nokia 801. The phone is said to succeed the Nokia N8. The phone will have a 4-inch AMOLED ClearBlack Display with a normal Symbian resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. The phone will have a 1.4 GHz processor with a 512 RAM for running applications. Nokia 801 will have a 12 megapixel camera, equipped with Autofocus and Dual-LED flash. Besides still photos, video recording of the 801 will have 1080p HD.

Looking at the alleged leaked photo of the phone, the same looks like a N9 and Lumia but no buttons at the front. Most notable about this news is that Nokia 801 will use Nokia Belle. Nokia Belle is the upgrade of the Symbian OS, which was first upgraded last April called “Ana”. The Belle places Nokia phone close to the touchscreen line of phones predominantly played by Android and Apple phones. The OS provides a new status bar which is effective to monitor tasks, and gives easy access to apps, messages and call alerts. Its interface gives 6 home screens and an option to customize the said screens. The strongest feature of Belle is its NFC or near-field communication (NFC) functionality, such as contactless payments and wireless streaming of media among supported devises.

While the specifications of the Nokia 801 seem promising, the report is not confirmed by Nokia. Further, there are reviews which seriously doubt the veracity of the rumor. It this case, Nokia fans may have to hold on to the excitement brought about by this report.

Today, those who are looking for the white version of Lumia 800 will be pleased to know Nokia has finally announced its arrival later this month. Likewise, countries outside U.S will receive it first like UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Finland, Poland all the way to Swiss. Of course, this is the same 3.7-inch phone sporting an AMOLED ClearBlack curved display powered by 1.4GHz single-core paired with a graphics processor. On top of that, the device comes with a 5MP Carl Zeiss camera, 16GB internal storage and equipped with Windows Mango (7.5) now serving up to 55K apps on its marketplace providing support for Internet Explorer 9, better social-media integration and tiled widget interface.

For those unaware, the trend of releasing dove models on a particular smartphone, a few months after its standard noir finish, seems to be the common trend today for flagship devices starting with the White iPhone 4 – probably the most hyped device last year. Obviously, its price should be the same but we won’t be surprised to see other retailers talking advantage over this depending on the demand. We’ll see!

Just to recall, some of these issues thrown upon the smartphone include audio quality, camera quality and battery issues. According to Nokia, the latest update provided (1600.2483.8106.11500) was intended to address standby time and improve the issues raised by users in December. The good thing is that Nokia will eventually be addressing/solving both audio and camera issues courtesy of a series of updates.

As for battery, it seems to be the pestering issue especially its life/longevity. Nokia recommends the use of the original USB charger or data cable that comes with the phone as these are designed specifically for it. Nokia has also answered that everything is okay as long as the phone’s full charge capacity is more than 1000 mAh. The company also suggested not to use the Diagnostic app but instead requests users to check the battery saver which can be found under settings and then systems.

Those who are still hounded with phone issues might as well opt for an exchange of the device or have it repaired. Nokia is also open to those who still have concerns over the battery capacity of the Lumia 800.

According to Eldar Murtazin’s twitter account, the Finnish company is set to introduce the Windows Phone 7-powered Lumia 910. The so-called 910 will have features same as that of the 900. This rumored handset is said to pack a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display and will have a 1.4GHz single core processor running the show. In support to the processor is 512 MB of RAM.

The camera will be the distinguishing factor as the 900 will pack a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera (Carl Zeiss f/22) that has LED flash and ability to record videos at 720p HD. On the other hand, the front-facing camera is a good 1-megapixel that utilizes f/2.4. Battery is the 1,830mAh which is embedded on the phone since its built is a unibody polycarbonate.

Murtazin have also mentioned that release of the 910 would be in May which is a month ahead of the 900’s release in UK. As they say, “to see is to believe,” that’s why we’re waiting for Nokia on official word on this.

Nokia has just teased us with pictures of their upcoming phone, which comes in the form as a Christmas card. An unknown central figure just sent a holiday greeting to someone using an unannounced Nokia Ace for AT&T. The greeting says “Happy holidays from your #1 group! Thank you for a wonderful year. We can’t wait to do more great work together in 2012”. While this is not much, the picture says that this phone will be a lot different from the Lumia 800 as it has a front-facing camera.

According to Paul Thurrott, the Ace will be one of the three phones powered by the Windows Phone 7, most probably Tango or Mango that is high-end. It is also one of the LTE-capable phones that will come out in AT&T around early this year, together with HTC Radiant and Samsung Mandel. It also features the Ma-Bell (AT&T) logo and a 4G icon. Also according to Thurrott, this Nokia Ace may be referred to the Lumia 900 that could also be released outside the United States.

For now, these are the only information that we have about the said Nokia Ace 4G or Lumia 900. If this phone interests you a lot, it is better to watch out for updates and news about it. After all, it’s too early to tell and the information can still change.

Earlier this week, Sony’s new mecca finally landed on Japan as promised, celebrating an early streak compared to Nintendo 3DS in terms of the total number of sales.

Pros and Cons

According to the review made by engadget, Vita is simply a beast and dwarfs all of its competitors with its monstrous power thanks to its quad-core CPU (ARM Cortex A9) with SGX54MP+ for GPU; 512MB RAM /128MB VRAM and crystal-clear 5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen with 960×544 resolution. Its redesigned form-factor and touchpanel also looks sleek and kind of futuristic in style compared to its predecessors – yeah, we’re looking at the PSP fat way back on 2004.

However, the two main irrefutable caveats for the device are its average battery life and premium price. This is something we all have expected months before Vita’s launch; battery is mediocre at three hours when playing games with some occasional WiFi browsing — something that’s a sheer joke compared to iOS devices even the Tegra 3 powered Asus Transformer Prime which can crank up eight hours easily with its primary battery. It’s notable to mention Nintendo 3DS can also last up to four hours when playing any game (non-stop) in which its Circle Pad Pro attachment can juice its battery up to a ridiculous rate of forty-eight hours.

And oh, the price is something that may irk those fans with a low budget since Vita’s currently for sale on Japan at 30K Yen ($385) for the 3G+WiFi Model. When it hits Western countries on February, the WiFi-only variant (cheapest) is expected to land at $299, not to mention you are required to buy its exclusive Memory Cards (cheapest 4GB at $30, more or less).

All in all, the Playstation Vita is an elegant device with sheer power that comes with a first-class price. If you’re that type of player who don’t mind shelling out one Benjamin more than your conventional handheld gaming device like 3DS at $249 from inception (now reduced to $165), feel free to go ahead and pick the new handheld –- you won’t regret it. However, if you’re that guy who prioritize your budget more than anything else, we suggest you wait for the WiFi-only Vita to have a price discount on the next six months (possibility only), along with the arrival of other triple-A titles aside from Uncharted: Golden Abyss, in hopes for a broad list of discounted games.

For those who are unaware, Espoo’s flagship Windows Phone devices, until today, has only been Lumia 710 / 800, the latter which supports beefier specifications was already revealed on Europe and other parts of the globe except for United States, of course.

Going back to the discussion, should the rumor become a reality, this means the new Windows handset will finally have its official release in the arms of US carriers like AT&T and Verizon along with the gift of 4G LTE, cranking its download speeds up to 21Mbps (theoretically).

Interestingly, CNET also reveals its other specifications like a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, 8MP camera (still no word if it’ll have a front-facing cam) and 1.4GHz CPU. Right now, there’s still no word if the rumored device will be branded as the Nokia Lumia 900 which was leaked last week along with its slightly less-charming brethren, the Champagne.

According to this forumer from Androidcentral, he manage to get a Galaxy Nexus (4G LTE) in one of Best Buy’s stores located at Olathe, Kansas. Likewise, there’s some minor issues before he bought the handset like the shop’s database can’t produce a valid SKI (which makes sense because the device is pushed on a later launch date). In the end, the store’s troops override the system and the guy got what he came from, a brand new Galaxy Nexus phone!

According to the official website, the protagonist is an “active and inquisitive girl”, who wanders off into the valley alone because of rumors of sealed magic within, being the premise of the game. However, there seems to be no other characters starring alongside her, so it’s either she’s the only character in the game, or tri-Ace wants to keep the supporting cast a secret for now.

Beyond the Labyrinth also puts a twist on tri-Ace’s usual RPG flavors, as the game has turn-based, real-time battles instead of action battles, and combat based on using three elemental attacks named after the old rock-paper-scissors game. Instead of choosing which attack you have in your roster, Beyond the Labyrinth will have a set of attacks you will have to do in a specific order, and it’s up to you to choose how strong it is, and which of your enemies you will target.

Aside from the new spin on battles and attacks, the game also allows you to customize the girl’s outfit the way you want it, and this is where the game really makes use of the Nintendo 3DS’ touchscreen. You can draw designs yourself with the in-game editor, and these changes will be reflected during gameplay. This is perfect for people who cant stand seeing characters wear the same set of pixels over and over.
