It’s nearing the end of 2010 and 2011 is shaping up to be the year of new technology and consumer electronics. That’s right folks, January is just around the corner and that means it’s CES time again.

Keeping up with tradtion, the International CES will be held in Las Vegas as always and on January 6-9, 2011. That’s a Thursday to Sunday (4 days) event.
CES organiser CEA spokesperson Karen Chupka said that “With the gaming market expected to generate $20.3 million in 2010, the International CES is the must-stop hub for innovative gaming products, and will allow CES attendees to experience the future of gaming from an amazing range of innovative companies.”
The International CES is a very important yearly event since this not only provides the Press to report on current technology, it also allows developers to actually think up of new stuff to trump over the competition.
One of the more high profile news is that Nintendo will be coming back to the CES 2011 after a 16-year trade show hiatus. Looks like Nintendo has cleared their disappointment of the Virtual Boy back in 1995 CES. Good for your Nintendo. This is Nintendo’s opportunity to wipe their besmirched honor by showing off the Nintendo 3DS which is slated to be released in Japan by February, with US and Europe having a March release date.
