Just hours after the announcement of Sony slashing the price of PS3 from $300 to $250, insiders manage to unearth the next Nintendo Magazine issue for UK revealing its about to launch a thinner and cheaper Nintendo Wii for our British friends this holiday.
To be more specific, changes about its physique are describe to be in a “horizontal orientation” than its previous vertical design, newly adjusted configuration and at first glance, you might say the console is similar with the upcoming Wii U next year. Meanwhile, the newly designed unit will come in bundle for Wii Party and Wii Sports whereas its ability to play GameCube games won’t be available anymore. This explains how the company managed to make console sexier.
The new Wii console comes with other goodies like the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk. If you’re interested, expect its availability to hit before Christmas and if this console will be launched outside Europe, it’s possible it’ll be one of the eye-candies for Black Friday on USA.
As of the moment, Nintendo still haven’t gave any statement why they are planning to make some changes for Wii. All we know is that the company needs all the publicity it can get for its stocks are on the slump, and the only means for its salvation is its price discount for 3DS and the arrival of Wii U.
