Ubisoft will be publishing another title by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the Child of Eden. It is a sequel to Rez, a rhythm action game being developed for Play Station 3 and Xbox 360. Kind of hard to imagine, right? It is an action game, wherein you shoot enemies, which eventually produce melodic sounds upon dying. One cool trivia is that COE is compatible with Microsoft’s Kinect and it would feature Genki Rockets music.

There is a story behind this rhythm game. Like most, you must save something from destruction. This time, it is your objective that Project Lumi pushes through, despite the threat of a virus attack. If it does finish, Project Lumi would give birth to a human personality in Eden, in the form of Rez, an artificial intelligence.
Shoot as you will, as this is the main premise of the game. You can either use the lock-on function or seamlessly shoot constant bullets through a vulcan cannon. By using Kinect, a player can aim using their hands and change weapons through clapping. Finish the game by going through 5 stages called Archives, each with its own theme that varies depending on the player’s performance and play style.

Child of Eden will be released on June 14, 2011 at $49.99. So make sure to pick up a copy and behold the mixture of sight and sounds in a seemingly exceptional game.
