Electronic Arts Inc. has been busy lately, as the game developer and publisher has just bought 15 websites with names connected to the Command & Conquer franchise. What’s interesting is that all domain names have the word “alliances” in the URL, hinting at a new game that may be called Command & Conquer: Alliances.

Here’s the full list of domain names bought by EA on December 2:
- alliances-commandandconquer.com
- alliancescommandandconquer.com
- candcalliances.com
- candctiberiumalliances.com
- commandandconquer-alliances.com
- commandandconqueralliance.com
- commandandconqueralliances.com
- commandandconquertiberiumalliances.com
- generalsalliance.com
- generalsalliances.com
- redalertalliance.com
- redalertalliances.com
- tiberianalliances.com
- tiberiumalliance.com
- tiberiumalliances.com
As you can see, the domains also cover Generals, Red Alert and Tiberian, but they don’t specify which Command & Conquer series Alliances would fit into.
Interestingly enough, the mass purchase was dated very close to the Spike Video Game Awards which will air on December 10. Speculations points toward the EA BioWare game that’s going to be revealed in the VGAs. The EA Bioware game is reported to have a warlike aesthetic, which fits the Command & Conquer series, however the BioWare group tends to focus more on RPGs and MMOs than strategy games.
However, we wont know the truth till EA comes out with an official statement about both the EA Bioware label, and this possible Alliances title. The VGAs are just a few days away, and hopefully we will get our answer then.
