Roll in the mouse people!

There had been a moment in my life where I need not a mouse. That was the shift from the old-world desktop to the laptop. But over long period of stay by the keyboard comes the full-circle realization – just where was my trusty dummy mouse? My son the gamer rely on his mouse for survival. It’s a fact.

Designed by Seung Han Jung, Disk+Mouse is a 2011 Sparks Concept Design Award entry that hopes to blend functionality and design while remaining tru to our times. Remember that old DVD or optical drive that you hardly ever push these days. Well, that slim space underneath your keyboard can now be useful once again. Take out a CD-shaped thing that pops out instead of the usual compact disk, and its your new mouse. To use, just pop it out like a cone and you’re on.
Sparks Concept Design is devoted to innovations that is essentially an idea. How this version translates to our computing convenience and physical media-free future we’ll have to see. Though you may think about how we may appear to be truly inter-connected now, in other parts of the world the mouse is just starting to make its way.
Stay tuned.
