Hewlett Packard has something new for us, actually this cute computing device has already flaunted what it can offer at MobileFocus 2010 event! For those who love white you would love HP’s new baby Compaq Airlife 100.
This computing device is as compact as it can get, built to have a 10.1 resistive Touchscreen display which will perfectly fit your backpack or shoulder bag. It will run Andoid’s Cupcake 1.6 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1 GHz.
What I love about this device is that it has been infused with a 16 gigabyte SSD that you don’t usually see on other portable computing device. Of course it’s been injected with the necessary features that you need to stay connected while you’re on the go. It will provide you with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity (no WiMax unfortunately but that shouldn’t be such a big deal right?)
Now this device is ‘small but terrible’ because it can last up to 12 hours of usage and 10 days in standby mode! Perfect to always be brought anywhere and if you have been invited by your friends on the spot to go out of town, you don’t have to worry about that this lappie may just give up on you, just put in on standby mode and you’ll still have enough battery until you reach your destination.
The response of the Touchscreen is quite quick too, plus this cutie device is ready to use as soon as you open the lid, which makes this gadget a very practical investment if you’re the type who doesn’t need the tough details and specs on such gizmo.
Now there’s so much of the good news right? You may be asking yourself now what’s the catch? Unfortunately there is no way you can access the Android Market for updates or additional application. Hewlett Packard have partnered with Telefonica and due to this partnership, Compaq Airlife 100 will and can provide Telefonica’s own application store in addition to that this gadget’s quadband UMTS/GSM modem will be locked making it exclusive to its carrier (Telefonica).
*No pricing and release date as of yet but we will keep this one updated once we get the info!
