In the tech world, one should realize that despite many users are aiming for the utmost pinnacle of all high-end gadgets, it’s obvious that some companies do profit by targeting those customers who’s don’t have the budget but still wanting to buy a similar set of efficient device. Well, if that’s the name of the game, you bet Cowon will always be there catering these type of products.
As of today, the company is yet again revealing a new PMP (portable media device) and this one would be called as Cowon C2 (not the ice-tea). But before we get into that, you should know that there have been two other similar devices revealed by the company last year, in the form of Cowon D3 Plenue and Cowon D2 – just don’t ask how many sold units were there.
As for the C2 PMP, it’ll have a 2.6-inch resistive touch display w/ 320 x 240 resolution. You’ll be able to pack it with your digital entertainment files with its 4 / 8 / 16GB expandable microSD slot. Meanwhile, it’ll have USB 2.0 support, internal microphone and it supports popular video codecs (DivX / Xvid). As for its other features, it’ll have this “Cowon JetEffects” packing 39 kinds of effects for optimal listening pleasure. Last but not the least, this device would be capable of playing up to 55 hours of music time and 10 hours of watching movies — pretty impressive.
Expected price to come out as cheap and its release date will be set this year.
