Cowon’s up for a change this 2010
We all got used to Cowon’s candy colored and glossy device, but this time they have changed the way their gadgets look. They will launch a more sophisticated type something dignifying compared to the other Cowon gadget.
Hitting Korea soon is Cowon W2 (Mobile Internet Device).A peripheral made to cater individuals, in a personal use perspective. Before we move on to the specifications let me give a brief explanation of how a Mobile Internet Device work and how it’s different from other gizmo that can provide (almost) the same feature, such as; Wi-Fi, Email and anything that can be done using the internet.
MID are devices that are a bit larger than smartphones but a little smaller than an Ultra Mobile PC (also known as PC Tablet). Just like smartphones, MID can also give you real-time sharing of information (like email, documents etc.) and two-way communication (Yahoo messenger & Skype etc.)
Cowon is known to create/produce good quality gadgets. From digital audio, voice hardware & software and video tools, they gained consumers trust because they were able to live up to providing quality and beauty when it comes to their devices.
Cowon presents another quality gizmo to fulfill our need for communication and internet connection whenever and wherever, thanks to their handheld Cowon W2, everything is made simple, elegant and handy.
W2 MID will be released this January 25th in Korea (that’s kinda sad for those who’s not in the country) but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for this one to be available in our country. It’s been said that the price for this baby will be between $533 – $658.
It’s a little bit pricey I would say specially that we all know most netbook nowadays ranges from $350-$500,while this one is above the said price bracket. Though the price will hurt our pockets, let’s see how this ‘David’ will beat the ‘Goliath’ (netbooks, notebooks and PC tablet) out there when it’s fully launched.
