It’s been a few months since the gaming community has heard of any news on the upcoming sequel of the apocalypse-based adventure game Darksiders. Back in August, the game was reported to be released in June of this year, but when exactly in June?

Well, according to the official Darksiders Twitter, Darksiders 2 will be coming on June 26 for the US and June 29 for Europe. Not only that, THQ has also mentioned some incentives for those looking to pre-order, and the kind of pack you’ll get depends on where you place your order, and where you are based in. For example, if you’re based in the US and you go for Gamestop, you’ll get the Death Rides pack, which adds several side quests within the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains, and gain experience and more items by retrieving Karn’s treasure, fighting the Bloodless, and helping an ancient Construct. For those thinking of BestBuy, the Angel of Death pack will give you angel-inspired armor and scythes, and a purple skin for the tag-along crow. Meanwhile, the Amazon pre-order incentive will be a speed boost for Death’s horse, Despair. An up-to-date list is available on the Darksiders 2 forum.

What is the game all about? Darksiders 2 follows the horseman Death as he attempts to clear War’s name. As the protagonist of the first Darksiders game, War was sent to Earth to bring order due to the war brought on by the angels and demons, but instead comes across a conspiracy between the angel of death, Azrael, and the destroyer, Abaddon. Because of War’s actions, he was convicted a traitor for starting the Apocalypse too early and his brothers were not to help him. Death however decides that his brother was being framed and travels to the Nether Realms.
Darksiders 2 will be on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3 once it comes out, with a Wii U version in planning. Prices vary among territories and sometimes consoles, but it will be for about $59.99, or £66.99.
