Dell Inspiron Duo Specs and Review: Price and Release Date Soon

Posted on 18 September 2010 by pinoytutorial

Dell has been well-known for coming up with notebooks noted for its innovative designs. And just recently Dell has just showed off another uniquely designed Dell Inspiron Duo at the recently held Intel IDF 2010. Amazingly, the Dell Inspiron Duo started as a tablet device that can be converted into a notebook simply by opening its keyboard and also comes with a display screen that can literally swivel within the frame.

The Dell Inspiron is more of a convertible tablet that was reconfigured to look a bit more like the iPad. However, Dell tried to come up with an innovative and new way of making a convertible tablet. It has put the screen on a center pivoting hinge that will allow its users to spin the screen 180 degrees and close it back down against the keyboard with its image facing downwards.

Dell has managed to pull off the said convertible tablet without making it appear like one. This design must be something that will encourage buyers to buy the product. We may have seen similar characteristics in the past versions of tablet PCs, but the inclusion of a capacitive touchscreen display makes the Dell Inspiron Duo to be such an intriguing device.

During its announcement, Dell has given those present at the event a closer look at the device, but has managed to keep information on its specs under wraps. There is no information yet whether when this device will be available as well as how much it will be offered in the market.

Based on the demo presented, the Dell Inspiron duo still looks a little rough around the edges, which is just normal since the unit shown in the demo is just an early prototype of the said upcoming device. Dell must be still on the development stage and tries to improve the Dell Inspiron Duo and making sure that every detail has been checked before it will be released in the market.

For now, all we have to do is to wait for more information about this upcoming tablet especially details on its specs to give us an idea of what it has to offer. So watch out for more information.

honestly i think this is going to be ten times better then the ipad. camera, multitasking, keybored, adobe, apps. it might be a little heavier. but who cares! this is going on my christmas list! well if it comes out by then anyway.

Sensible comments/suggestions are always appreciated.
