Dell is rolling out with another AMD powered laptop for their Inspiron Model. And oh boy, I can’t say that I am happy or not for them! The new Dell Inspiron M5030 is something what you can call your classy-office laptop which holds a good line of specifications for a generous price. I know it might sound contradicting especially for a Dell laptop, but I think they have pulled this one quite nicely for a non-techie person because of its AMD processor. While this may sound like a turn-off for some, I think it would be great if you will look at its specs first before you judge it.

So going green we have AMD Athlon II P320 processor and Mobility Radeon HD425 graphics coming from the AMD M880G+SB820M chipset family. RAM is generously set to 4GB DDR upgradeable up to 6GB DDR. It has a glossy 15.6″ High Definition (720p) LED TrueLife™ Display (1366×768) with Integrated 0.3 MP Webcam. Like its older brother, its standard storage capacity is set to 320GB which can go upto 500 GB. Other goodies include a High def audio 2.0, 8x CD/DVD Burner and it comes with a bundle Windows 7 64 Bit (Home Premium version). Its Battery is a 6-Cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery, 48 Whr.
If you live in US then you can pre-order this one today and have it shipped to your doorstep after 5-7 days with a tag of 530 USD.

So, impressions time! When you look at it, it has obviously grown thin packing with a new sexy look. I mean Dell laptops before are cute but this one has become a stunner — You know what I’m saying? Next will be about its color. Before, Inspiron models always get the shorter end of the stick when it comes to the design. But somehow, Dell pulled this one pretty nicely — and actually I thought the black-shiny gloss of the M5030 is very appealing. The real question for this laptop is why did it pick an AMD processor instead? I know some aren’t satisfied but this is very justifiable thinking that if they released this one with an Intel Core i-5 then certainly the price would soar up. That goes the same for its older brother.
So what do you think? Would you get this AMD laptop or not?
