Yesterday, we gave you news about the latest Dell Precision laptops targeted for junkies who spend their time at the workstation, and some of its features are leaked from a manual. Today, Dell is officially unveiling these “workstation-based” laptops touted to be the world’s most powerful 15.6-inch / 17.3-inch notebook in the world!
Starting with the Dell Precision M6600, this one will have a 17.3-inch Widescreen display running an Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition CPU (Second Generation), packing with the latest NVIDIA Quadro 5010M GPU with 4GB GDDR5 Vram power. With an option to pump its four DIMM memory slots up to 32GB 1333MHz or up to 16GB of 1600MHz performance. You’ll also have the option to pick a 2nd HDD and 128GB SSD mini card with RAID 5 support. Its price starts at 2,158 USD.
Meanwhile, Dell Precision M4600 will be under a 15.6-inch display, buffed with the same goodies like its brother, running a Core i7 Extreme Edition processor, same set of powerful GPU and RAM build with 750GB HDD.
Interestingly, you can also go for the AMD FirePro way giving you equivalent GPUs to match the NVIDIA Quadro default option. This package would also include two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and one eSATA / USB 2.0 hybrid port, with HDMI / VGA optional support. Expected price to start at 1,678 USD and its release date will be similar like its brother on May 10.
