If you will ask me what would I choose between Dell Streak 5 and the latest, Dell Streak 7? I would always go for the latter not only because of its amazing set of specifications but also because of its size at 7-inch. Quite frankly, I can’t call a device which is under 5-inch to be as a tablet. But that’s just me!
Anyway, as much as I would like to love this device, one of the biggest turn-off for it was the platform running on Android 2.2 which is quite strange since Google has already announced Android Honeycomb earlier this year which is entirely made for the next-generation tablet experience.
So far, this has been one of the many reasons why Dell Streak 7 got a low review from pundits who have tried to fondle it on their crib. Well, it appears today, a member from MoDaCo community has successfully managed to hack in the 7-inch slate and install Android Honeycomb on it.
Check out the picture.
While everything is in the “I’ll show you mine, show me yours” type of stage on the forum, you can already expect that a full guide and download link will already become available soon – just because developers usually do that and that’s the way it is!
As of the moment, Dell has no word if it will provide an official Android 3.0 honeycomb update for its dear Dell Streak 7 customers soon.
