Remember the Dell Lightning phone we previewed a couple of months ago? Well at the Windows Phone 7 event today, it was officially revealed as the Dell Venue Pro. I know some might agree with me that Dell should have just stick with its former ‘glorious’ name rather than changing it. Anyway for nostalgia’s sake, this phone has settled a roar into the smartphone community, considering it was one of the first WP7 phones at that time which sports an amazing set of features not to mention a killer form-factor which will certainly make you want to hold it for that much needed multi-media experience on a smartphone.

Today, it appears our prediction were correct. The Dell Venue Pro sure is one of WP7’s superphone. And its specifications is just a proof. At a glance the Venue Pro phone has this solid 4.1 inch capacitive multitouch display — WVGA AMOLED Gorilla screen ready. It’s on a portrait form-factor with a built-in slider keyboard for better viewing and messaging experience, in which early impressions claim it’s rubbery yet firm to the touch. It’s powered by a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor and it has a 5 megapixel LED flash camera which is capable to record in full 720p HD experience. You can expect this one to have a 1GB ROM, 512 MB DDR SDRAM, 8GB memory on a microSD slot (expandable up to 32GB) It will use all the application of the Windows Phone 7 platform (Netflix, Slacker Radio, T-mobile Entertainment App, just to name a few.)
It will be available on T-mobile exclusively – same like the HTC HD7. Which makes the Magenta company go on bright purple this holiday. Price is still yet to be revealed soon.
