Yesterday, we gave a tentative list of changes going to be included for Patch 2.0.5 in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. As expected, Blizzard revealed three more updates that will affect the way how players gamble, getting torment-only items and more.
- Gold Cost To Unsocket Gems Will Be Reduced (link)
- Rift Guardians To Drop More Blood Shards In Higher Torment Difficulty (link)
- Horadric Caches Can Now Drop Torment-only Legendary Items (link)
- Bounty-only Legendary Buff In Higher Torment Difficulty (link)
These four updates are significant. As cited from the first change, unsocketing a flawless royal gem will now only cost 175K gold instead of 500K (a 70%+ reduction) which is in favor for new players who don’t have enough gold in their stash.
We’re also pleased to hear this update will give certain level of buff for players doing higher torment level. Aside from getting higher chunks of blood shard when you do Torment II and up, you’ll also receive perks if you finish your bounty quests in higher torment difficulty which is great news for players still hunting for that elusive Ring of Royal Grandeur with perfect roll. Lastly, Blizzard also indicated bounty bags can also drop torment-only legendary items which includes your Lvl70 set items, legendary potions, legendary follower tokens and more.
Unfortunately, there’s no mention about the exact release of Patch 2.0.5 but enthusiasts predict it will be next week.
