Diablo 3 Patch 2.1 Release Date Confirmed Later This Month

If you’re one of those players who stopped playing Diablo 3 for a while waiting for Patch 2.1, we have some good news to share.

According to Blizzard’s Production Director John Hight, Reaper of Souls’ first big update is expected to arrive “later this month”. Precisely, that would mean any day between August 18-29 based from previous patch releases for any Blizzard game which falls during weekdays.

So what has changed since the PTR update last month? A lot. From this post, it features a megaton of updates for each classes buffing their skills and set items. The game will also introduce “The Vault” which is a fan-based suggestion featuring a chance for treasure goblins to open a portal when they die; in it lies a boss that brings more loots and gold. But that’s not all, players who want to have a ‘fresh start’ can try seasons which will give exclusive achievements, new legendaries (not available in non-seasonal characters until the first season ends) plus, a season-only transmogrification set which can be obtained when you level a character until 70.

For those who want to test the upcoming patch including the new items and seasons, you can download PTR client (public test realm) here.
