Apparent Corporation has recently unveiled a new portable and mobile paper scanner Doxie Go that can sync with any Mac or PC, iPhone or iPad using OCR software which turns the scanned document into a PDF file.

It has conservative shell look and can create searchable PDFs in real time even without a PC nearby. It also has built-in memory with a 6,000-page capacity, a SD slot and USB port for additional memory. Documents scanned can be sent to the cloud such as Google Docs, Dropbox or Evernote using the Doxie 2.0 desktop app. No computer of any kind is required to make the scanner work and it is cordless and simple.
The Doxie 2.0 app can sync all scans and organize them into multi-page document. Doxie Go can scan any type of papers or documents such as reports, photos, recipes, receipts, among others and scanning can be done in 8 seconds or less. The device is now available for pre-order at $199 with shipment to start in November. It is the newest member of the Doxie scanner family of Apparent and each pack contains Doxie 2.0 software and the carrying case.
