Dragon Age 2: PC Requirements and Release for 64-Bit Only?

Posted on 08 March 2011 by pinoytutorial

I know some of you are already itching to get your hands on with the much-awaited Dragon Age 2 game, which is the direct sequel of its iconic prequel last 2009. And while many console gamers are rejoicing that this game has been previewed with its demo last month, PC gamers are left wondering how monstrous its specs requirement would be once it hits their computers?

Well what do you know? As of today, Dragon Age 2’s requirements have been revealed, in which its minimum requires your rig to use a 1.8GHz Intel / AMD dual-core type of CPU, Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB / NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256MB, 1GB RAM and at least 7GB for your Hard Disk storage, supporting Vista of Windows 7 operating systems.

As for its recommended requirements, you need to have a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad core CPU or its equivalent 2.8GHz AMD Phenom II X3 CPU; its GPU would require you to get AMD HD 5850 or NVIDIA GT 460, 2GB RAM and your system supporting Vista or Windows 7. Having a DirectX 11 update is a bonus too if your rig supports it.

Anyway, one of the things that’s bothering other gamers is why the word “32-bit” isn’t mentioned by Bioware? In that case, it could be a real pain in the arse if DA2 would only be available for 64-bit PCs.

Dragon Age 2 release date will be available this week on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3!
